I am a surface designer with a passion for prints. After working with fashion prints for several different brands and watching the trend system closely, I have decided to create print collections that differentiate themselves from the common production by using references and cultures not deeply explored by the mainstream design system, in a way that it overcomes the cultural appropriation issues and gives back to the communities where it comes from. It is my dream to develop prints and textiles that express a different point of view and doesn't simply consume visual references without any kind of knowledge and research. I believe culture should be celebrated, not explored.
I am a surface designer with a passion for textile, prints and local culture. With an extensive professional experience on fashion prints, my dream is to develop lines of prints and textiles that refer to specific local cultures, and involve social projects that allow the benefits of the line to come back to the place where it came from.
A fashion designer is who I want to be simply because I enjoy it. Fashion wear to me is an instinct as well as a form of expression. If I am sketching out a piece of fashionwear it comes to me naturally as if it were a part of my hand. There is so much I feel I can take inspiration from for example from nature, paintings and even books. When designing it is important to make sure there is harmony in your piece and all the pieces in your fashion wear link up together so as to be appeasing and be understood by the eye better. I will combine my love for knowledge with my love for fashion and create something that not only stands out but also goes along with the tastes of others. I don’t just want to be a fashion designer I hope to be a trend setter.

And from 8 to 28 years old, reflections on women in the street:
… How do they feel in their own outfit,
… How to they dress up when it’s rainy, windy or sunny,
… How do their clothes move throughout the space,
… How do they interpret the difference between style and fashion?
… How do these women use fashion? As a game? As a rigor to follow?
Hi, my names is Victória Carvalho and I’m a Fashion Business student. I’m a very determined person, with the desire to make a difference. I believe that life is defined by opportunities, so when I saw the opportunity to win a scholarship at Istituto Marangoni, I jumped in.

The lack of innovation in the fashion industry nowadays stimulated me to think about new ways to make things different. For that reason I chose to study in London, because it's a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, open to innovations. I believe it's the ideal destination to study and be stimulated by the culture and people.

Very focused and determined, I try to concentrate on what I believe, at the same time doing others entering the same dreams I have, but bringing different points of view.
I have a purpose.
I attended the first two years of high school at Gonzaga Liceo Giuridico-Economico, integrating traditional disciplines of Italian Liceo with Law, Economics and Managemnt basics. Then I turned to Artistic Liceo, where I discovered a world I liked and some skills I had. Loving the way I could draw and shape the form of things I started to pay attention to the final destination of my work: when the scope was merely decorative, I concentrated on aestethics, when I was involved on projects with a final applicative scope I always tried to combine aestethic with functionality. Also in figurative communication I always tried to impress the message in images and/or graphic solutions, as I consider the logo or the script the vector of the message that immediately must be reachable.

It is a well-known narrative, that of retail psychology. observing, studying, making connections, all spilling out to a literature of a spot-on retail strategy. Result: the optimal psychological conditions for a sell? There exists space for another connection between fashion and psychology, nevertheless. Garments for the soul?
The emotional uplift when donned pompously, the surge of confidence from the attention, serotonin heightening? Yes, there is something there. An unexposed dimension in the realm of fashion technology; maybe philanthropic, maybe socially-conscious, but surely existing.
Mindful fashion would thus generate garments that evoke psychological well being. Fashion with psychologically and spiritually stimulating cues. Fashion which paints on the canvas on the soul.

As a child, it always excited me to see him working diligently on architecture. My upbringing naturally had led me to be deeply fascinated with design. The first crucial step that had led me to aspire to be an interior designer is when I joined a NGO helping build houses for the poor. On the final day of our volunteer work, the houses are built on the same spots as before, but the different layout changed the people's once saddened and worrisome expression into something more filled with joy and hope for the future. I had the privilege to witness the change in the people's states of minds, actions and their very lives. Through architectural layout, I believe that it is highly possible, inevitable that one can enrich and improve others' lives.
I am passionate about art and about all it represents. It really can change people's perspective in life, and this is magical. Art can be wherever you are, you just have to incorporate it. That is what I want to do, bring art to the comforts of home. Our home is where we can show ourselves without fear, is our refuge. It has to represent our souls. I want to be a part of it, learning as much as possible with the best in it. That is where Istituto Marangoni goes. You excel at what you propose yourselves to do. I want to excel myself as well. Let me be a part of it.
Graduated at the Polytechnic of Milan in Design and Engineering in April 2013, he began his career in the design of the stone both in the production with his laboratory, providing stone to major design companies, and both in the creativity having the opportunity to experiment new techniques. His duality allows to design, implement and promote vision and unusual design with a just regard to the business world.
His design isn't based exclusively on the stone but extends in all those new materials that can reflect his being creative: materials that give the material sense with clean and elegant lines with the ultimate aim to make the object icon of his philosophy.
Fashion to me isn’t just an expression of my personality & creativity, or just a notion of who I’d rather be, but it also completes how I feel in an exact moment. It expands beyond its 4 dimensional constraints & takes a leap into the unknown, into something much more, as soon as it’s worn. It becomes alive.
I’m a young, Australian/Italian woman, moving to England in early 2016 to further pursue my career in fashion, design & photography. I have a passion for art, design & creating. I think outside the box. I have a bubbly personality & love to meet/work with new people. I thrive on a challenge & I don’t give up. I’ve completed my BA of Photography at Griffith Uni along with a Jewellery Design course, a Fashion Design course & worked in Visual Merchandising at a high volume fashion store.
Fashion as art: I love the craft of Indian textile and the pure magic of simply making things. Creating something new allows me to explore my place in the universe. Fashion as art is heavy on aesthetics and allows me to retain a make-believe world while being very much in touch with the real world. It has the power to transform ideas in to reality and I am my happiest best just making all these ideas into tangible objects. Playing with fabric, colours and texture really excites me and to be able to do that for a living would just be a dream come true. I want to leave behind a legacy of alternate thought and to be able to inspire people to accept themselves as they are, through my clothing.
Alexander McQueen, Steve Jobs, Ettore Sottsass, Eames, Antoni Gaudí, Frank Gheri. These are my dreams; the company in which I want to keep; the inspiration for my life.
I dream to create the world for people to enhance their experience of life. I am passionate, I am driven and I am obsessed. I will do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. Life dealt me a hard blow to my health the last 5 years and now that I'm well I am going to make up for it. If you give me this chance I will squeeze every conceivable bit of opportunity out of it and turn that into incredible design.
I will make you proud. I will make you glad that you chose me. I want to be the best.

Michelle is a quiet girl with loud ideas. But those ideas are always kept inside. She feels like she's being put inside a box and can't express herself truly. She may not express her love for fashion that much but what she dreams of is to see her designs being worn by others. What she wants is to make other people especially the women to feel beautiful and to be themselves when wearing her designs.
She's that wallflower who wants her designs to speak for herself about her feelings and thoughts. And she thinks that the time is now for her to never fear to be open and express herself and reach that lost star in her eyes that keeps on wanting to spark; fashion. She always have and always will love fashion.
"To become a relevant fashion designer" was my childhood dream. I grew up in a garment factory in Manila, Philippines.
As the recipient of the Carolina Herrera Fashion Design Scholarship, I came back to my country to practice all I have learned in the West. Professionalism, punctuality, to be a sticker for detail. This gave me the the integrity to live a fulfilling design life.
Why am I interested in the bridal gown business you may ask? Simple, I am fascinated with being a part of the most important day of a woman's life. To dress her on this day, is a way to immortalise my work. Not to mention, I am also an incurable romantic.
I love being surrounded with beautiful details. Life should be qualitative. Art, Architecture and Fashion. I noticed how have changed my mood if I looked great. Women, let's be adorable as we were seen by sir Christian Dior. I enjoy being wanted and attracting attention. That's my dream to share the idea to be feminine and magnetic. I have background in economics, also had some courses in fashion branding. For me, that's not just apparel, fashion or job. That's what will make work days enjoyable. I know the place I'm going to belong to in this huge world of choices. "The most important things are free, the second important things are very expensive." I possess the most important part, my family, friends, private life, now it's time to entry fashion. P.S. I have enclosed some sketches.
Instead of using the 800 characters to talk about me, I would rather tell you about the things I love, which describes me much more.
I love people in general and team work. I love those ones who get that simplicity is the key of the outstanding. I love irony and even more the people who gets it. I love advertising and the excellent professionals from which I Iearn every day. I love fashion in all of its expressions. I love dogs over cats and daylight over night clubs, coffee over tea and tennis over football, flowers over chocolate and Paris over every other place in the world.

I discovered my interests weren’t in architecture but in draping
I feel like a sponge that has no limits to what can be absorbed
Constantly embracing strong enthusiasm towards the beauty of clothing design
After giving up my master degree in architecture and yearning towards a world in fashion design
All the world’s most famous artists encountered some sort of catastrophe
Experiencing life’s most bitter moments derives life’s most beautiful masterpieces
My biggest desire is that after graduating from Instituto Marangoni I can become a more intriguing artist giving me the opportunity to influence others, help the needy, and more importantly to help orphans achieve their lifetime goals
My name is Xu Xiu, I come from China and my profession is journalism. This has allowed me to accumulate much contact and experience with the fascinating fashion industry, such as fashion magazines, luxurious goods and merchandise, blogs and websites, clothing manufacturing, etc. I would like to apply for a scholarship at the Milan campus for the spring of 2016, and I wish to apply for a major in fashion&luxury brand management. My ultimate goal is to guide and steer a much more enhanced concept of fashion into the Chinese market, seeing as fashion has slowly become a universal form of art.
I´m a clothing design student, interested in image study, graphic communication, print design and patterning experimentation. Fashion is my only and truly passion. I love to create and intervene images. I’d love to dedicate my life to my passions. I love color, and I love to use it in my works. I think color can be the biggest communicator in a work, and no fearing to use it is my motto. I also believe as a designer I should design for human’s bodies, clothing should be friendly in corporal, emotional and psychological way.

As I study the fashion of my heritage, I fall in love with the simplicity of its beauty & being an admirer of the rich Italian culture, I would like to explore fusing both cultures & let each elevate the other. I believe my ethnic Philippines with your classic Italy can make wonders.
My aesthetic is not too modern because I am in love with all things old & classic. So the quest? To revive the past & have it appreciated in the present. To look forward, always with inspiration from what's behind.
With today's technology, we tend to forget how simple everything began. Roots before branches; after all, that's the sturdiest part of the tree.
Unique, nice, happy, creative, future accessories' designer that will transmit her own originality in her pieces, hard-worker and willing to fight for her own talent.
it's me, a 19 years old fashion-obsessed spirit talking!

As a former architecture student and an emerging visual artist, my relationship with space and objects is the starting point to understanding interior design: as an intimate process that contributes and enhances the user’s development of their sensorial standards.
The importance of details, color, materials and finishes has awoken in me an interest for industrial design. One of my many goals is to develop to the maximum level my skills in this area; wishing to improve and focus my formal and technical training in visual arts and interior design, to someday be able to create objects that can satisfy the essential human needs for safety and comfort, without ever losing an accurate sense of style.
My life's dream is to study at the Istituto Marangoni, to be a successful Accessories Designer. I’m a professional Ballet Dancer, Business Administrator, MBA and almost a Lawyer. Last 10 years I lived in England, Norway and Brazil that brought me different vision of the world and myself. I always knew what I really wanted to be, since I was a child, but for many reasons in my live I couldn’t have an artistic and free spirit, hence I want to completely change my career path, even my actually success. I just want to be happy, I need to devote myself to the real passion of my life, to be who I always wanted to be. This is my chance! After the year at the Istituto I know I would be able to develop my own brand of footwear and print the name Carolina Villarreal in the fashion world.
My name is Elena Tiron, I'm 25 years old student of political science and international relations at the University of Valle d'Aosta. I am a very curious person and I like to try new experiences. I like art and travelling, but my passion is fashion. I love clothes and I love to play with creating the outfits. Fashion is my passion, but it is my dream to make my passion my job. I also like photography, in fact every moment of my life I bring camera with me.
After publication “Micromegas” by Voltaire the idea of traveling through space and time occupied Europe of XVIII century.Inspired by story I thought:Interesting, Queen Marie–Antoinette had dreamed about travelling in future? She was a dreamer, loved to surround herself with “special” reality.Versailles village was build for her, where she wondered herself a shepherdess.I believe that before asleep she dreamed about traveling in future.Project is about her dream. Allora.Queen is falling asleep, dreams smoothly flow in night dream and cute lady appears in our time, in a little destroyed castle. In trendy A–silhouette dress with rococo print, pastel colors, “tour de gorge”and following the fashion of 1770-th look saved high hair, decorated with beautiful roses.Like this could be Queen’s dream.
Dealing with everything concearning fashion, art and design is my personal aim in life. I am more inclined to express myself through images since I strongly believe in their communicative power.
Fashion for me is not just a matter of style, of mixing textures and colours, it is a social and political vehicle, able to change reality.
I'm just a girl searching for a dream, but I hope to make a difference in the world through creativity. I believe that the human being has an immense desire to transform what is around you and we need to free it.

I just graduated in Economics and Business and will be undertaking the master in Fashion and Luxury brand management. It’s not the usual master choice for an economics graduate. But while my brain belongs to the business world, my heart belongs to Fashion.
My dream is clear; make a difference in the fashion industry by assisting young designers to build their own brand under ethical standards. My idea is to create a supportive online platform that enables investments through crowd-funding, provides business/consultancy services, and where new designers can showcase their collections, sell them and grow, while being social and environmental responsible. My aim is to make the fashion industry take a step back from profit-oriented fashion and to make a step closer to what fashion once was; art.
I am currently studying Business Administration in South Korea with a full scholarship. My dream is to become a fashion designer who can build an enterprise and take part to develop my country.
I am passionate in creative fields that inspire me to create new thing. I love to look at textiles and imagine what can I do with them. And also get inspire in advanced process and unordinary design in order to find out how things are made. I am amazed when I unfold the clothes and see for myself how pieces are made and connected. I know that fashion design has much more than what I thought, therefore I would like to gain more knowledge and new experience.
Hi, I’m Gianella, I’m 19 years old, I study fashion design in Perú. I’m going to be that brave person who follows her dreams, I want to share my point of view and creations with the world, find true inspiration on the things that life has to offer and then share it with everyone through fashion. Fashion is such a powerful tool, but you have to use it right, is not about showing something you are not, not about dressing all the same, it is an extension of what you really are on the inside, is about being different, is about rebellion too, you can use clothes for so many things and say so much by doing it with authenticity. I want to change the way people see fashion I want people to dress as themselves.
I live in Ukraine and I'm an arty person. Five years ago I started to take photos and after decided that I want really to become a photographer.
My biggest dream that's to work in the sphere of fashion, to provide MORE art in this industry. To became one of the best fashion photographers ever like my idols: Helmut Newton, David La-Chapelle and Ali Mahdavi.
Now I'm specialized on male fashion photography.
In my works I not only show the beauty of man's face or body. I show the soul of real Man who’s comfortable in harmony with his soul and body. For me photography is the part of me, part of my mind and my soul.
I want change the world of fashion photography and I know that I can
My biggest love is the fashion. I started to draw and to dream about create and inspire people with amazing dresses and clothes, when I was a little child. I want to change people’s life, helping them discover who they are and demonstrating that they can be special. I believe that being a fashion designer it’s to do this and also see your drawings come reality and leave a legacy of humanity’s many characteristics and cultures. Because of this, fashion became my happy ending. That’s way I believe I can be remembered and that I can be The One. I hope someday people remember my name for what I will be doing for the history of fashion culture. Dreams are those happy endings, that make all your life make sense. I will not stop until this happen.
I have always believed we do not have to give up style to be part of a better world.
Origin, transparency, consciousness, responsibility. Those words are some of the challenges posed to the fashion industry that I want to face.
I understand the value of running not only a business, but a business with purpose.
Behind every piece of fabulous clothing, there is larger system that must be nourished instead of drained.
What we wear is a form of expression and our clothes say deeply about who we are.
So why can´t they tell a good story at the same time they make us look beautiful and confident?
I believe fashion and social responsibility can walk together. And I dream of making it happen.
Where i find myself, there i am. The world is my idea and someday will be whole. Idealistic, fashion enthusiast, an old soul. I want to be educated in terms of emphasis behind the fashion scene. I dream to explore the background, the business of fashion's know-how, to learn how we communicate the world of a brand. I already influence people in social media as a Brand ambassador and digital strategist but i want to learn more about the technical concepts of fashion. Therefore i am here and someday, maybe, you will be beside me.

Every aesthetic thing fascinates me .The effect is no different let this be a magnificent, a piece of art or a fashion product, Fashion, like art, is a great tool to express oneself; It is a means to live up the joy of aesthetic that is tangible, a different language.
With this in mind, I have set out for this long journey; having taken the art education and chosen fashion design to interpret my ideas & express myself, I can define myself as a passionate, highly motivated, experienced and a hard working person.
In order to best develop and share the language that I have selected to express myself, my greatest dream is to have an education in a city that is at the heart of fashion and has a great reputation for educating the best.
Luxury should remain “hard to reach” in the mind of consumers.
Well Peace of mind is hard To reach.
I created an imaginary high luxury brand: ALEXA. She is not wearing anything that shows the product and that was made on purpose because the customer will associate my brand with a concept.Indeed, I want the target to trust me instead of thinking that they are potential buyers.
As a potential buyer, I want to see peace of mind through the picture.I would unconsciously associate the brand with well being and that would be an additional incentive to buy.
Fashion is one of the aesthetic tools people use to break free from the social yoke. My dream is to create an individualistic lifelong program of esthetic self-ID for everyone that would model and design an individual style by age, shape and gender based on objective initial data such as DNA, psychophysiological indexes, ethnic and socio-cultural background along with Feng Shui and astrology. Ideal dreams can only derive from an ideal personal analysis and should be guided by a professional Virgilio.
I had a Bachelor’s Degree from Marmara University Art Teaching Department(Textile Major)after an education between the years 2004-2008.During this period I became an assistant in Kızılderili Studio of Design of the fashion designer Tülin Ertürk.I gained experience in leather costumes. After finishing university I began working in Taxim Textil as a fashion designer. In this firm where also famous Turkish fashion designer Bora Aksu was working I made designs of the brand’Angels Never Die’. In this way I got experience of pattern layout, embroidery, and printing pattern. Then I worked as a teacher of fashion design at‘Pera Fine Arts Academy’for four years. We attended many desing fairs and costumes design competitions such as ’Contemporary’ with works we made with students
I have always expressed great interest in all forms of Art.On completing my Foundation course in Art and Design at AAS College in Greece (franchise of UCLAN University of Central Lancashire), I discovered my strength in expressing my thoughts and ideas through creativity and visualsation. Then, I chose to attend the Diploma degree in Fashion Design(Pansik Scuola di Moda, GREECE), as this is related to my passion for creativity I had also the opportunity to work as a backstage dresser at different fashion shows in Thessaloniki and Athens, as a fashion stylist, . At the same time I worked for Arte Piedi Store for their promotion images , editorials and their web graphics.
Passion is a wide category but to me, it is simply a word : FASHION. Creative things make me happy and expressing my soul.I, a 17 girl from Vietnam with the dream of working in the fashion industry. Studying speciallized in biology and initially I was driven to become a doctor. However my real dream is being a fashion designer.Love designing and love the way clothes made people feel self- confident. The structure of every object always take my notice. I am a colorholic. Finding, creating new materials :the field I love. My direction is not only high fashion but also close, original.I'm now, a little girl with less knowledge ,lack of experience. A chance to be Istituto Marangoni's student is very meaningful to me. With me''Nothing is too soon, nothing is impossible''
I am a Lawyer who followed different ways until become an interior designer. But most of all, a dreamer. I truly believe that all our dreams are reachable, if we believe and work for them.
Five years ago I’ve finally had the opportunity to work with my real passion and started to build my own story.
I discovered that working with people’s dreams I could reinterpret them using design in different aspects as to create with beauty, simplicity and poetry.
This is my motivation. Make them reality.
I am inspired by possibilities, by the unknown and with the chance of inspiring someone with my work.
I love what I do and I love to meet people. Their references and experiences contribute to my creative process. I love the fact that happiness can be find by a simple changing in their scenery.
Since the beginning of my educational life in fashion, I have always considered it not as something necessary to get a diploma but as my dream to fulfill in life. My strength is my bravery and being able to turn challenges and failures I confront with during the creation process into a pleasure and experience that will grow me as a professional. The traditional cultures, cities and communities, which I grew up in, have helped me to create my designs in a slower, careful and critical pacing in a world and sector which is being consumed fast. My personal preference is not to address to any gender. This means, they appeal to anyone regardless of their gender.
My passion is traveling. As much as I am passionate about traveling, I am passionate about having an eye and sensitivity to my surroundings concerning art and beauty. I think having that sensuality is a vital essence that can bring out true beauty and quality in art.
My name is Andres and my dream is to become a fashion entrepreneur. To make this possible I have to build good foundations so I won’t get lost in the journey.
All my life I have been surrounded by fashion, from a matriarchal family to always wanted to excel through my clothes, but in an unconscious way. Now that this feelings and thoughts are conscious I want to explore this path.
My passion for fashion comes from the interaction that a garment can create between people and its environment. This opportunity will give me the tools to understand and appreciate this industry better.
I have a great passion for travelling since I enjoy learning from other cultures; I see the world as a whole where countries are gems to be discovered. Creativity has always been my passion, focusing on the details is really what moves me and I put this into practice on my daily life. As an Interior Architect I have specialized in retail design, becoming specially interested in Visual Merchandising focused on fashion. Also, dancing as my second passion, and music, has enabled me to have a sense of perspective in life. I believe that this unique blend of experiences has made me a woman with an original point of view. My main goal is to have a thorough understanding of how the fashion industry works in order to be a better designer and merchandiser in my home country, Peru.
I am inspired by everything I see around me. With my multicultural background I develop a big passion for the diferent cultures and their different prespectives on art.
From a young age I showed a lot of interest on artistic activities such as drawing, painting, music, cooking, sawing, knitting and I was drowned by the world of glamour.
I was born in the shoe world. Since I was 16 I am involved with the creative and the production area of my family business. I admire the “made in Italy” soul. It will be a dream to live, study and start a new step of my life in Milan.
I’m Lucia Clemente, influential Fashion Designer aspirant. I would like to be admitted to the Master’s course in Fashion Design Womenswear in Milan, the heart of the Italian Fashion, well known for handcraft and elegance, the basics of my Fashion Concept. Ever since I was 12, I sew by myself without a strong bases of tailoring for my clients. I call it innate gift or desire to nurture my passion born through a sewing machine. My aim is to take up a career in the Fashion World and in future open my Atelier of custom tailored dresses. Therefore I have to learn how to design innovative and successful collections for specific customer and market. Some of my dresses are shown on Vogue Italia web site. I’m ready to fight for my dream and the best weapon I can use is the Istituto Marangoni.
